Zune’s main competitor is the Apple iPod / ITunes. These are famous in the Mac world. Just as Apple ipod / itune is famous in the Mac world so is Zune products in the Microsoft world. Zune players are available as two man products namely the hard drive based product and the flash memory based product. Both of these products are capable of playing music, videos, pod casts, they help to display images and also are capable of receiving FM radio. FM radio does include RBDS, which is capable of receiving an displaying digital information in the conventional FM radio broadcasts, like the Traffic announcements, station identification, artist being broadcast, song title so on. It also allows sharing files wirelessly across other Zune via USB with Xbox 360 and Window Pcs. It can be seen that Zune can also be synced with a windows PC.

The Zune HD is a Portable media player, one of the Zune product family that has been introduced by Microsoft which was release on September 15, 2009. It comes in 16GB and 32 GB capacities. It makes use of a touch screen interface mainly for the purpose of navigation and also includes Wi-Fi for synchronization. You can have easy access to the Zune marketplace and Web browsing.

The Zune HD is a small portable media player launched by the Microsoft which works similar in function to iPod of the Mac Systems. It has the capacity to play the HD radio stations a feature that is not available in the media player world.
This new media player of the Microsoft world comes with a 3.3 OLED touch screen. When it is compared with the ipod of the Mac, the images as seen on the Zune HD screen are much more crisp and bright. The OLED touch screen was also found to be very responsive compared to the media players of the Apple devices.
