The first portable media player developed by Microsoft in the series of Zune is Zune 30. This media player was released on 14th November 2006. It was initially names as just Zune. After that there were subsequent versions created with different hard drive capacities and the original Zune was names ad Zune 30.
The consumer edition was introduced in different colors like black, brown and pearl white that came with a double shot or translucent glow in a different color of blue green and transparent respectively. The Zune model cases were made of silicon rubber. The controller consists of a circular controller with four buttons that indicate the different directions with the middle button to help choose a song album or the menu with a black button to the left and a play / pause button to the right along with a hold switch on the top of the media player next to the headphone port. The words as inscribed on the back of the case are “Hello from Seattle”. It also features several music, videos and images that are preloaded on the device.

The Zune 80 is a portable multimedia player that has been developed by the Microsoft in its Zune series of media players. The Zune 80 series was introduced on 2nd of October, 2007 and it was release on 13th November 2007. Along with the Zune 4, 8 and 16 models this Zune 80 forms a part of the second generation Zune devices. It has all the features like the music, video, pod cast support, Wi-FI and FM Radio.
The Zune 80 comes as 3.6 millimeter thinner and 31 grams lighter. It also has a slightly larger screen for better display. It also has higher battery life for longer usage. The Zune HD is a Portable media player, one of the Zune product family that has been introduced by Microsoft which was release on September 15, 2009. It comes in 16GB and 32 GB capacities. It makes use of a touch screen interface mainly for the purpose of navigation and also includes Wi-Fi for synchronization. You can have easy access to the Zune marketplace and Web browsing.
